Visit to the ISKCON Temple and Lotus Temple
Temples are the quintessential component of Indian Architecture. Unlike residential or any other utilitarian building which has a lifetime, temples are built for eternity. The most profuse ornamentation and elaborate craftsmanship can be found in Temples. Today, the pedagogy of Temple Architecture has changed significantly, but the values and meanings more or less remain the same. Sair will immerse you in spirituality by firstly draping you in traditional Indian attire. Then we'll take you to a journey through the iconic structure of Lotus Temple. Lotus Temple was built in 1986 as a place of worship by the people of Bahai faith. It is a masterpiece of human genius, which amalgamates engineering with spirituality. Its flowerlike appearance is inspired by a flowering lotus, which is significant to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Bahai faith. It is formed with three sets of marble-cladded free-standing concrete petals clustered around a center to form nine sides, surrounded by nine ponds. Next, we will go to the ISKCON Temple built by renowned architect Achyut Kanvinde in 1983. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu deities of Radha and Krishna who are worshipped by hundreds of Hindu followers each day. Chaityas ( gateways in Buddhist Architecture) inspired the temple's form. The temple's structure shows a play of solids and voids. It houses the 'Glory of India Vedic Cultural Centre' with galleries and exhibits about Hindu Text. Enrich yourself with the knowledge and philosophy of the temple trust. Boost your spirituality with the sanctity of these temples.
